Hair Removal

Hair Removal

Diode laser uses a triple wavelength of light that has high abruption rate in melanin. As the melanin heats up it destroys the root & blood flow to the follicle, disabling further hair growth.

Diode hair removal is safe on all skin types from 1- 6 of the fitzpatrick scale.

PAIN FREE!

Diode laser is the latest breakthrough in technology, Diode laser uses a triple wavelength of a light that has a high absorption rate in melanin. At the same time it incorporates skin cooling to protect the surface of the skin as the melanin heats up it destroys the root & blood flow to the follicle & disables the hair permanently. Diode laser has an ability to deliver high frequency, low fluence pulses can be safely used on all skin types.

Triple wavelengths are:

755nm Wavelength:

For the widest range of hair types and color. The Alexandrite wavelength offers more powerful energy absorption by the melanin chromophore, making it ideal for the widest range of hair types and color- especially light-colored and thin hair. With more superficial penetration, the 755nm wavelength targets the Bulge of the hair follicle and is especially effective for superficially embedded hair in areas such as the eyebrows and upper lip.

808nm Wavelength:

Half the treatment time.

The classic wavelength in laser hair removal, the 808 nm wavelength, offers deep penetration of the hair follicle with high average power, a high repetition rate and a large spot size for fast treatment. The 808 nm has a moderate melanin absorption level making it safe for darker skin

types. Its deep penetration capabilities target the Bulge and Bulb of the hair follicle while moderate tissue depth penetration makes it ideal for treating the arms, legs, cheeks and beard.

1064nm Wavelength:

Specialized for darker skin types.

The YAG 1064 wavelength is characterized by lower melanin absorption, making it a focused solution for darker skin types. At the same time, the 1064nm offers the deepest penetration of the hair follicle, allowing it to target the Bulb and Papilla, as well as treat deeply embedded hair in areas such as the scalp, arm pits and pubic areas. the overall laser treatment for most effective hair removal.

We have simple steps we need you to follow for best results

· Don’t exercise/go swimming or use sauna/steam room for 24 hours following treatment

No cooking with steam ( pots & pans hot ovens)

No not into a green house until week after treatment

· Don’t soak the area in the bath for 24 hours following treatment

· Wait for the minimum of 3 weeks before having the same area lasered again

· If you’re going out in the sun use SPF 50 on the area for at least one week following the treatment and no Sunbeds/Sunbathing during your treatment package the lighter the skin the better the result!

· Do not use false tan/make up or perfumed products (yes this include deodorant) on the area until the next day

· No tweezing, plucking or waxing any new hair growth between appointments, you CAN shave up until 2 days before your next appointment

· Exfoliate twice times a week this will help the shedding process ( not till a week after each treatment)

· It’s recommended that you use moisturiser on the area for the best results

ALL TREATMENTS YOU WILL BE GIVEN FREE 50SPF CREAM & ALOE VERA GEL..

The First Stage – Anagen

The anagen phase is the first stage of the hair growth cycle, and the most visible. You can tell your body hair is in this phase when it’s above the skin and ready for removal. It’s still attached to the papilla, which is a nipple-like protrusion at the base of the hair follicle and remains in this part of the cycle for two or three weeks. When it comes to laser hair removal, the anagen phase is ideal for targeting the pigment of the hair and destroying the follicle so that it doesn’t grow back.

The Second Stage – Catagen

Occurring between growth and rest, the hair will shed in catagen phase. If you’ve ever had long hair, then you might be familiar with finding hair on your clothes or pillow. This is often due to the shedding that occurs in the catagen stage, as the hair leaves the papilla at this point. The laser isn’t always successful when targeting the body hair in this stage of the cycle, as the laser energy is unable to reach the follicle once the hair separates. Fortunately, this stage of the hair growth cycle only lasts two days, making it unlikely for the target body hair to be at this point during your laser treatments.

The Third Stage – Telogen
The telogen phase is considered the rest stage, as after the hair has shed it goes dormant. Unlike the other stages, the length of this phase is unpredictable. Sometimes the hair will begin to grow back in just a few days, but it can take up to a few years. Laser hair removal isn’t possible during this stage of the hair growth cycle.
