What is Laser Hair Removal?
Our Laser Hair Removal treatment involves a diode laser. This is the latest technology and uses a triple wavelength of light.
The light is absorbed by the melanin, the pigment in the hair follicle, and destroys the root & blood flow to the follicle, which prevents further hair growth, without damaging the surrouding tissue.
This treatment is safe on all skin types, from 1- 6 of the Fitzpatrick scale.
How does it work?
The laser is placed on the skin and a sort pulse of light is released which targets many hair follicles at the same time. The laser is then loved to the adjacent area of skin and the process is repeated.
The Diode Laser has triple wavelengths, enabling us to work on different areas of the body and different skin types.
755nm Wavelength: this is designed for the widest range of hair types and colours. It is especially effective for superficially embedded hair in areas such as the eyebrows and upper lip.
808nm Wavelength: this offers deep penetration of the hair follicle with, ideal for treating the arms, legs, cheeks and beard.
1064nm Wavelength: perfect for darker skin types and with the deepest penetration of the hair follicle it’s great for treating deeply embedded hair. This wavelength is used on areas such as the scalp, arm pits and pubic areas.

When is it best to have treatment?
Successful laser hair removal depends a lot on the hair growth cycle. During your initial consultation, we will assess which stage of the cycle you are and when treatment would be best.
How many treatments will I need?
During the first free consultation, we will advise you on the best session plan for your skin type.
What do I need to do before Hair Removal treatment?
A free, full consulation will be carried out prior to any treatment to ensure you are suitable and assess your individual needs.
You then will be asked to:
- Not use sunbeds or tanning creams 2 weeks before and after each treatment.
- No hot showers or baths on the day of your treatment.
What do I need to do after the treatment?
Your skin is often mildly pink following treatment, just like a warm flush. Typically, this flush calms within a few minutes to an hour.
We also ask that you :
- No sun exposure for 72 hours after each treatment.
- Apply aloe vera gel for 72 hours after each treatment.
- Use 50spf sun protection each day
- No exercise, swimming or sauna/steam rooms 24 hours after the treatment
- No tweezing, plucking or waxing any new hair growth.
- Shave the night before your next appointment.
Are there any side effects?
Your skin is often mildly pink following treatment, but this calms quite quickly.
How do I Pay for treatments?
Session plans will be agreed during the first consultation and payment is made in full for the plan.
There are discounts for plans of 6 or 8 sessions.

Do you offer refunds?
We don’t offer refunds on sessions not taken as per the plan you signed up to.
